This Privacy Policy explains how Connected Technologies (“CONNECTED”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use our website, mobile apps and services (together, the “Service”). CONNECTED is a social platform where creators run their own channels and connect with their communities, and we take the privacy of those communities seriously.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — the email address, username/handle and profile details you provide when you join the waitlist or create an account.
- Content you share — posts, stories, “thoughts”, comments, live streams, and media you upload to your channel.
- Messages — direct messages are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read their contents. We process only the metadata required to deliver them.
- Usage & device data — app interactions, approximate region, device type and diagnostic logs used to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and secure the Service and your account.
- To deliver content, messages and notifications you ask for.
- To run merit-based verification and keep the platform free of bots and impersonation.
- To process creator payments, subscriptions and payouts.
- To communicate with you about access, updates and security.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party behavioural advertising on CONNECTED.
3. How your data is stored and protected
Data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, managed identity and access controls, signed upload URLs for media, and least-privilege permissions across our services. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, and on-device data in our mobile apps is stored in an encrypted local database.
4. Sharing your information
We share data only as needed to run the Service:
- With infrastructure and processing providers (e.g. cloud hosting, search, payments) under contract.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the public.
- As part of a business transfer, with notice, subject to this Policy.
5. Your rights and choices
- Access, correct or download a copy of your personal data.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.
- Opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

6. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
7. Children
CONNECTED is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
8. International users
We operate from India and process data on AWS infrastructure. By using the Service you consent to processing in the regions where we and our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards in place.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date; material changes will be communicated through the Service.
